Found outside in a public area near grass. I think it is a type of wolf spider? Was about 2 inches - including legs. Was not scared when we stood by it and took pictures - stayed still then disappeared after we left the area.

Yes, this is one of the Wolf Spiders in the family Lycosdidae.
