Any idea what spider this is please anybody? I appreciate it's not the best of pictures. He's currently living in my house in the UK lol. It's fairly big.

Steatoda nobilis, harmless “false widow”
Are you sure its harmless? As it’s currently still living in my bathroom as I’m not sure how best to catch it because it barely ventures out of a little gap it’s decided to make home. Problem is also I seem to have an infestation of lady birds at the moment. Basically meaning he’s got an all you can eat buffet going on lol. Which means it’s getting bigger also. It’s pretty scary looking
Hi, don’t judge a spider by its looks. False Widows are relatively small and you’re bigger than they are. She hides in the dark little gap because she can’t see well. She senses you through vibrations of your movement. She’s accustomed to feeling for the movements of insects. Imagine what it feels like when a human walks by! 😉 Bathrooms have the moisture False Widows need to stay hydrated.
