Interesting looking spider. We found it while cleaning the back yard. Usually we find Black Widows but have never seen this one before. This spider was found on open dirt but quickly retreated under a large tree root. He or she is about the size of a quarter and a brilliant orange red color. I have additional photos if needed for ID.
Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a Woodlouse Hunter, Dysdera crocata.
