Thanks for getting a second opinion. In my experience, if the spider is big most people call it a wolf spider, if it is brownish people assume it’s a brown recluse. I don’t think brown recluses range into Wisconsin. They also don’t have a pattern of markings on their sides. I haven’t seen one in-person (I live in a Northern state).
