I’ve been trying to find what this all black 8 leg spider is since 10/2018. I am in a ground floor 2 bedroom apartment w/patio for 8 yrs. Was watching tv at 3 am when suddenly seen very Lg black spot on ceiling heading towards over top my bed. It’s size including leg span was the size of a 50 cent piece. Never ever seen anything like it. I discovered a few things about it. Thank you for sharing, I have not been able to identity it yet, still searching. My son had what looked like an insect or spider bite on his leg a while back. Then I see this hideous thing running through the living room. Can’t help but think it is what got him. He is fine, no issues from the bite other than being itchy for a day.
