Hi, this is an Orb-weaver (Araneidae). I’m not familiar enough with Australian species to instantly recognize which exact one. Like most spiders they have venom but are not considered to be of medical significance – everyone’s immune system is different though so of course if she has any sort of reaction that gives you cause for concern see a doctor.
Can anyone help me identify this spider? It just bit my partner while she was gardening.
