Comments & ID Thoughts
I just saw this on the pavement in Fulham, London and am very curious to find out what it is. The picture was zoomed in to capture it it’s true size I would say it was slightly bigger than a 50p coin including legs.

Hi, she’s an Araneus diadematus. The common name is cross orbweaver. She is the kind of spider that makes a web like the spiderweb emoji.
Wow that’s disappointing, I thought it was something much more exciting! Thank you for helping.
You’re welcome. What kind of exciting spider were you hoping for? You need to travel to somewhere warmer than London to increase your odds of interesting spider incidents.
