Comments & ID Thoughts
Think this is a cave spider, not sure which species, either Meta menardi or Meta bourneti. Discovered it when I pulled back the tarpaulin covering my husband's trailer last Saturday. Body and head together approximately, in length, the size of my middle finger from tip to first phalanx, so quite small, although the description I found calls it a "large" spider, lol. Shiny brown carapace. Didn't seem to like light, it scuttled off, which is why I think it might be a cave spider.
