Comments & ID Thoughts
I found her in my room when I was cleaning and since then I've been keeping her with me in a container that mimics a natural environment. She's a Brown Recluse and I've had her with me for 2 1/2 weeks. Im only wondering if there is anyone else has any information about her kind like the NEED TO KNOW info and if anyone wants to know anything about her I may be able to answer your questions.
Do you have a clearer, more dorsal image? This does not look like a Recluse (Loxosceles), I can make out a pale median stripe on the carapace that is inconsistent with that genus. Possibly a Barn Funnel Weaver, Tegenaria domestica.
I looked up the spider that you suggested she may be and it’s an exact match thank you for your reply
She is:
A Female
A Brown Recluse
A Juvenile
And her name is Baby Girl
“Need to know’s” of this spider is that they are very dangerous, thus make sure to keep to container secure. I would like to know what you feed it. Thanks!
I’ve found comon house beatles and started breeding them she won’t eat the Beatles but she love to eat the larva
She needs a moisture source in addition to the larvae’s fluids. A small clamshell that you can drip water into might work. My house spiders drink splashed and spritzed water off of surfaces.
