This is one of the White-eyed Spiders in the family Amaurobiidae. From the color pattern it looks a lot like Amaurobius ferox.

It may be natural variation. The specimens of Amaurobius ferox we have here in Nova Scotia have fairly reddish legs like your picture. It may also be a male female thing too. I’d have to check specimens here to check that.

Hi, same family but different genus as suggested above. This looks like Callobius severus. (A. ferox doesn’t range so far west, loads of other western Amaurobius species I’ve never seen but they’re all known only from California.)
