Did your spider win this battle? There are parasitic wasps that oviposit their fertilized eggs into a spider the wasp paralyzed with its venom. Sometimes the wasp can drag the living spider into a niche and seal it to keep the spider in-place for the wasp’s larvae to feed on. I guess it’s fair game in nature since spiders prey on wasps.
The spider won. Wrapped him up nicely and invited him in for an afternoon tea.
