Hi, this is a Hobo Spider (Eratigena agrestis). Despite their reputation they are not currently considered to be of medical significance. They are an introduced species from Europe where they have no such reputation. Sometimes the name is misconstrued to mean “aggresive”, but it actually means “of the fields”.
Awesome. I’m glad that maybe they have been wrongly maligned. I figured I would just leave him alone in my garage. Since they aren’t good climbers, I’m not too worried about him working his way into my car.
