It’s always agood idea to not wear garden boots barefoot 🙂 I find that spiders fall into my boots and can’t escape while I’m wearing them. I wear sport sandals for gardening and hiking. Nothing’s hiding there and partially exposed feet remind me to be careful to look before I step (wasp nests, stinging nettles, poison ivy, hypodermic needles, etc.).
Hi, this is a Lace-webbed Spider, Amaurobius fenestralis or similis.
Brilliant. Thanks. Was bitten last summer-I no longer put bare foot into my garden boots!!!
