Comments & ID Thoughts
This spider was found in the floor, next to my dog, around 11:00 pm.
It was the 2nd time we seen that spider.
It was a day that rained before. The other day it rained too.
We called the pest control, they found a nest and eggs in the fireplace (don’t know why there is a fireplace in florida...).
He sprayed the apartment, but didn’t identify it.
It’s a first floor unit.
Never seen it again.

Hi, there’s not enough detail in the image for a firm ID. It may have been a Wolf Spider (Lycosidae). It would not have been what made the nest and eggs in the fireplace. You can reduce the number of spiders you find in your home by vacuuming everywhere and emptying the canister outside, and sealing cracks around floors, doors, windows, foundation, etc.
Is it dangerous? Have a dog and a 10 year old boy.
Thank you very much for the advice. I’ll post a video of it when I sprayed regular bug spray on it.
