Northern Thailand, found playing in the pool.
Was thinking it's a type of huntsman, we have some huge ones here but colouring and body very different. About 6 to 7 inches from toe to toe.

Hi, this is a Huntsman (Sparassidae, Heteropida sp.), the odd coloration is probably the effect of being sprayed and a misinterpretation from the camera. It was very likely not that color in life.

Hi, thanks, it was deffo that colour in real life…a very strange looking spider and the abdomen was huge…I was wondering, pregnant ? Maybe the chlorine from the pool did something but never seen anything like this before. Cheers 🙂

Yeah, if it was that color it might be attributable to pool chemicals. Looks female, could be pregnant or possibly a result of drowning. Spiders I’ve pulled out of the pool filter often have this bloated look.
