Comments & ID Thoughts
it’s about the size of a quarter. i thought it might be a false widow but the skull on this one doesn’t look quite the same. it was in my garage behind a recycling bin and i just about laid an egg when i took a picture and saw the skull

Hi, yes it is one of the species called false widows. It’s Steatoda noblis, a Noble Widow. Yours has the pattern a little bit different. If you google “skull spider,” guess what one of the main species you’ll see is!
