Comments & ID Thoughts

My wife was bitten by something in bed a few days ago which required a visit to A & E for painfull swelling and anti biotics. Could it have been this spider I found in the bedroom today?

Hi, your spider looks to be a male giant house spider, Ertigna species. I really doubt it would be responsiblefor any significant injury. I have yet to provoke one of these to bite, but may compare to an ant sting or mild bee sting. Impossible to predict outcomes of venomous bites.

This is a False Wolf Spider, Zoropsis sp..
