This was collected in Zambia. not sure of the type, possibly wolf

Hi, this looks like a Baboon Spider. Tarantulas are not my strong point, unfortunately. Here is one similar though I don’t know if it’s the same: https://www.tarantupedia.com/harpactirinae/pterinochilus/pterinochilus-murinus

Rick West, a top expert on tarantulas, told me that arachnoboards.com is a good website for tarantula identification. He recommended posting your photo there and asking for a tarantula species ID.

Apparently tarantulas are a family, Theraphosidae. I didn’t know that either, I’m still learning. Family level breaks into genus level which breaks down to species level. If it isn’t a tarantula the other website will tell you. They will be happy to help you.
