Rick West, a top expert on tarantulas, told me that arachnoboards.com is a good website for tarantula identification. He recommended posting your photo there and asking for a tarantula species ID.
Thanks will do so…. not sure this is a type tarantula though. Are they not a species on their own? Will post there and see.
Apparently tarantulas are a family, Theraphosidae. I didn’t know that either, I’m still learning. Family level breaks into genus level which breaks down to species level. If it isn’t a tarantula the other website will tell you. They will be happy to help you.
