Thinking its either a black house spider or a wolf spider but not sure

Neither. It is a Crab Spider in the family Thomisidae.

Hi, this is a Running Crab Spider (Philodromidae).

That was my other choice, but thought legs I and II looked a bit prograde. Hard to be sure with the somewhat blurry image.

I’m also looking at the shape of the median carapace stripe, eye placement, shape of abdomen, thickness and length of legs, and trying to take everything into consideration compared to all the North American genera of Thomisidae I’m familiar with, I think they can all be ruled out one way or another. Most of the ones that have this sort of coloration have stockier legs, or ones that are shaped more like this have legs III and IV much shorter, or the the carapace stripe/shape is too different.
