Comments & ID Thoughts

I woke up with bites and I found this one, it wasn't in my room but it was outside of my room on the ceiling. There is a gap under the door so its possible he could've gotten in that way.

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a Long-bodied Cellar Spider, Pholcus palangioides. They’re nothing to worry about.

Very unlikely the welts are from this guy (everyone’s immune system is different though), these will prey on less desirable things. The Myth Busters did an episode about this species once: https://www.discovery.com/tv-shows/mythbusters/videos/daddy-longlegs-minimyth
