Comments & ID Thoughts
I found this spider on the wall of my apartment and was struck by it as I have never seen one similar before. We tend to have very few spiders in the house. The building is very old (16th century) and there is renovation work taking place downstairs so I wonder if it may have been disturbed by that.
It was quite small, perhaps an inch and a half in length.

Looks like a Triangulate Cobweb Spider but I could be wrong
Could be Steatoda grossa. Steatoda triangulosa has the triangle marks touching top to bottom in a line down the abdomen.
False Black Widow, Steatoda grossa.
