The spitter situated its web right under my floodlight on my enclosed pool area to catch bugs attracted tot he light. The web looks disorganized and whispy.

Hi, looks to be a male orb weaver, possibly male Nephila species.(gold silk spider.
A handy bug catcher to have around.

Tentatively Leucauge argyra. (Ruling out the other possible species due to it lacking orange spots on the posterior end of the abdomen).
