This was taken in my basement. I just need to know so my kids don’t touch it. He’s about the size of a half dollar fully extended with legs

Hi, this is a male Black Lace-weaver, Amaurobius ferox.

Don’t worry about the kids, I have these in my cellar, they avoid light and people. They stay in dark moist places, like under lumber or in holes in the wall. If you tug on their webs they’ll stick their heads out to see what’s going on. 🙂
