This is a very common spider in my house. It hunts little bugs at night on the bathroom floor and in the bedroom. I don't think it makes a web. I tried to catch one once and accidentally killed it. Its about 2". I'm surprised I can't match it to pictures on the internet of common spider. Please help identify.

Hi, they can be a challenge to catch, best luck I have had is by hand.

Full grown, these can almost cover my hand.
