Please help me identify this spider. I need to know. Never had one like that in my house before.
Hi. This harmless spider is one of your giant crab spiders, Sparassidae family. Cant peg the genus/species from this. They can be quick and intimidatingly large, but as you observed, not aggressive.
One of your huntsman spiders is called ‘rain spider’ for its nature to seek shelter in homes before a storm.
