Comments & ID Thoughts
I believe this spider is a male Steatoda grossa. My dad caught this spider in our downstairs bathroom the day before this picture was taken. I set him up a little home in a critter keeper as seen in the photo. I have since found another of the same species in our upstairs bathroom. Since his capture I have gotten a closer look at him and he has the leg hook things that males typically have. He also have the coloration and spotting/texture of a Steatoda grossa. He has also built a sticky web. He likes to hang upside down and is very fast and skidding when I was moving him. When he feels threatened he curls up into a ball, same with the other spider I found.

Oof,idk why the picture is sideways. I have see if I can replace this with a better photo in the future.
I don’t know why, sometimes this website automatically rotates submitted photos. The site needs some programming upgrades. You can’t replace the pic on this post, but you can submit a new pic with a new post, just make a note that it is the same spider. Cropping the photo square might help keep it from getting rotated.
Image rotated, but I can’t confirm the species from it. The spider is too obscured.
