Is this Dolomedes tenebrosus? I found a very impressive one sitting on a bathroom cabinet. It had the ability to jump straight up about 10 inches,too. I was quite horrified, but still captured it and released it to the wild.

Jumping is not one of their strong points but they can bolt so quickly they can take flight.
Caught similar species by hand and sometimes coaxing them, they vault right over my hand. The part that makes them a challenge. Once on your hand, the just sit and chill.
