Comments & ID Thoughts
Southern house spider? Brown jumping spider?
We had two of them last year but then they went away for the winter. Came back this week and now there are three of them. I think they eat the bugs near our front door because we keep that light on at night. We have toddlers so need to know whether to relocate.
Thank you!!!

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a Wafer-lid Trapdoor Spider, Myrmekiaphila comstocki. A wandering male in search of a girlfriend.

It also looks like he lost a leg and was fortunate enough to regrow it. The first leg on the bottom of the image is narrower than the one on the other side.
Wow. Thanks!!!!!
Cool find, thanks for sharing! 😀
