Thought it might be a type of grass spider, but never seem this coloration before.

Its about an inch long including legspan.

Cool spider! Until our website programming is modernized you can’t add anything to a previous post it you have already logged out since posting. It is okay to just post again with the new photo with a note that it is the same specimen. For future spiders, another work-around is to make a collage of multiple photos. A collage counts as a single photo on websites. The images are smaller, but can be expanded by the viewer. I find Google Photos to be the simplest app for that but others have found many creative ways to make collages.
Hi, this is a Thick-jawed Orb-weaver, looks like Pachygnatha tristriata. I need to make a species page for it when I have more time. 🙂
