I found this little guy in the ground, while digging a little trench to bury a pipeline outside my house, I don't know exactly how deep, but I dug roughly 30cm deep, about 12 inches.
My brother and I have decided to keep it, and named (her/him) Shelob.

My initial thought was Tarantula, I know they sometimes burrow and I know this one has the tell tale signs, but even though it has 4 tiny eyes on top of the body, large mandible, and the hairy body of one, I don't quite know about the legs, more over, the feet have a single hook.

Four little yellow spots on the bottom of its abdomen, close to the chest. It moves flat to the ground, and seems to have the vibration pads on its legs, currently the leg span is only about 4cm (1.6') and therefore could be an adolescent.

We've had shelob for 3 days now.
She/he loves his/her enclosure.
