My cat found this thing and messed it up pretty good before i took the picture. I know its a texas recluse, i just wanted to report that i found one as west as midland. Im not sure if thats rare or not, but i saw there wasnt many sightings of these things so i figured id post this.

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 You’re right that it’s a Recluse, likely Loxosceles reclusa. This site is fairly new so there are a lots of common data points that haven’t been filled out yet. Thanks for sharing and adding the data point.
