I think it’s a Utah crab spider. Do they bite?
Hi. I can’t see features to say with certainty, but is a similar species in any event. No, they don’t bite, but they can if say, trapped against the skin and can’t run. They are also mildly venomous like ants and bees. I have handled a good many of this family, I used to steal them from neighborhood plants and flowers for my mothers flower garden. Never been bitten by any spider described as crab spider. Sometimes lounging on the back deck I would catch a crab spider, let it crawl on my hands and often pull web and balloon… Read more »
