My daughter slept in our bed and woke up with a bite behind her ear. It swelled and was very red for 2 days and went away. She woke up this morning vomiting. This could be unrelated. But the spider looked unusual to me.
Hi, this is a Jumping Spider (Salticidae), Metacyrba taeniola. Unless you found one dead in her hair or on the pillow it’s a very unlikely suspect. They have no reason to bite a person except in self defense and are not considered to be of medical significance, everyone’s immune system is different though.
