Hi, I think this is an Opilione arachnid. They are commonly called harvestmen and daddy long legs. They are different from spiders mainly in that they have all of their organs in one body segment instead of two. They also don’t have venom and have the ability to chew solid food in their mouths. Spiders can’t chew solids, they have to liquify food and drink it.
Personally I dont think it is a spider. I assume it is a beetle. I have seen many with long legs that could resemble a spider. However, they turn out to be beetles.
No, it’s not a spider. Beetles have three pairs of legs and one pair of antennae. Opiliones and other arachnids have four pairs of legs and no antennae. The trick is figuring out if the front pair of appendages are legs or antennae.
Yes, a Harvestman (Opiliones). Filed.
