I have never seen a Spider with legs like Grasshoppers. Is this just some sort of defensive position. I also cannot ID the Spider from my books

Hi, I don’t know the species yet. It is helpful that you have the eye arrangement visible and well-focused. This is a species with six eyes. It appears to be male from the large palps. You can search poses and postures of spiders online. There are characteristic defensive poses that certain spiders do. Resting postures too. The way the legs are pulled up toward the spider’s back is the defensive posture for some species. This one does look like it is resting, the web appears to have been made to serve as a bed. There’s 8 eyes there.
I found the missing pair ๐ It was the ones in the bottom row that angle to the sides in a way I haven’t noticed before.
Yes I can just make out the other two
Thx for your input
I agree with the ID, also it’s a male. Filed. ๐
