I was wondering if anyone would know what kind of spider this is. It was VERY large for what I am used to seeing. I was splitting wood and found it on one of the logs. I do live in mountain terrain and the log was an ash tree that I had taken down the year before that had died due to the Ash Beetle. My glove is in the picture with the spider for reference to it’s size.
Dark Fishing Spider, Dolomedes tenebrosus.
