Curls into a ball when touched. Very shiny black but no red underneath. Spun a web in the jar.

I think this a Steatoda Grossa (black faulse widow) however without seeing its abdomen (if it has a red marking shaped like an hourglass, it’s a true black widow) either way, it may carry harmful venom… here is an article I found on line: *Medical Importance False black widows produce symptoms that are similar to but much less severe than those of a true black widow bite.
