Comments & ID Thoughts

I have no idea what this spider is called. The first one showed up in my house about two years ago, and I saw one on rare occasions until recently. I have now seen about 12 in the last few weeks. They are extremely fast. They are between the size of quarter and a 50 cent piece and appear to be a very dark brown, almost black. I live in a rural area near the coast in Royal Oaks California and have only ever seen them indoors. Please tell me what it is!

Hi, this looks like a False Wolf Spider (Zoropsidae). There are a few similar looking genera in CA, I’m not sure which exact one this is.
