Can someone help ID this spider? Its large, body without legs is about 2.5 inches long. There is very minimal web material in a unorganized/messy fashion possibly previously left behind from a different spider. Spider went into his hole trying to hide but couldnt really fit all the way inside. It appears hairless.
Wolf Spider (Lycosidae). Maybe Hogna coloradensis or carolinensis, not sure which from this image. Compare to: https://bugguide.net/node/view/190078/bgimage
