Dysdera crocata, Woodlouse Hunting Spiders. I knew what they were before looking at the picture because they are often referred to as, “creepy.” They way they hunt is a bit creepy. They have two big red fangs that face each other like fireplace tongs. They use them to pierce through the soft bodies of pill bugs and soft round bugs like that. The good news is that the fangs don’t easily break human skin. It’s like grabbing a flat wall surface with the fireplace tongs.
