See that was my initial guess but I figured I would go ahead and document that I had found one here. As common as they say they are this is the first time I’ve ever seen one. I’ve seen all kinds of spiders but this is the first time I’ve seen one of these guys at least then I can remember. Anyway thank you for the positive identification
this was my commentary and initial thoughts.. but it didnt post.. I’m guessing this is a Cobweb Spider – Steatoda triangulosa based on what I can see on the pattern of its abdomen. My lights were off around 10 PM and I noticed from the screen light of my cell phone something out of the corner of my eye crawling on my bed side table, so i quickly turned on the light and saw it was a spider. Hi, my theory one why some things don’t post on the site is that they appear to have uploaded but actually are still in progress. Watch for a “working” symbol that is like a circle circling another circle. There is another one that is a grayish dot that moves around the top right of the screen.
