Comments & ID Thoughts

We are not sure what kind of spider this is. We think it might be a Texas recluse because of photos we found on the web, but the legs have a pattern. It was building a large web that was in the bushes.

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is actually a Tropical Orbweaver (Eriophora ravilla). Beneficial for controlling the insect population, not anything to be concerned over.
