Happy Mother’s Day! This might be a male Nursery Web Spider, Pisaurina mira, minus two legs. They are in the same family, Pisauridae, as Fishing Spiders. He should be out looking for a female. They are big spiders, but quite mellow.

The bite is about equal to a wasp sting in pain and the body’s reaction. They don’t bite unless they are afraid, usually because they are trapped against our skin.
