Comments & ID Thoughts

Looks like this is a wasp spider (Argiope bruennichi) from what I can tell. Though not that common in this area but starting to be noticed more and more. I have more pictures but can’t seem to upload more than one at a time. She is a beautiful spider but tell me what you think?

Yes, this is a Wasp Spider. They seem to be uncommon in the US because they aren’t native here but recent sightings have been reported in Ohio and North Carolina

Hi, this is a Banded Argiope (Argiope trifasciata). They are not uncommon. Wasp Spider refers to a different species, Argiope bruennichi.
