I found one of these in the utility/laundry room in the basement on a blanket in front of the washer and another one on the wall above an outlet in a web in the family room of the basement. We just moved in a month ago and just brought some stuff to the basement from the garage. We're worried they may be brown recluse.

Yes, this is a male Brown Recluse (Loxosceles reclusa). ID to species based on range.

Get the photo downloaded on your device to a file that is accessible to websites. On our site go to Submit (top of page, camera icon). You’ll be asked questions, including where and what date the spider was found, asked to make an attempt to make an educated guess about what it is, and asked for any other observations.
