Trashline Orb-weaver (Cyclosa). The "trash" very closely resembled the spider in size, color and texture. It seems to be a clear case of mimicry.

Fantastic photo! Yes, it is thought that the spider makes decoys of itself to confuse predators. I think it seems like a pretty weird thing for animals to do.
