Comments & ID Thoughts

Saw these hanging out and crawling up the door frame when i went to open the door, there were probably 50 atleast packed together as well as forming a line. I couldn't see where they were coming from as to know what type of adult they came from. It is a brick house and i assume they were just hatched and coming from under ledge between bricks. Some started to "fly" away with a string of web when i got near to open door. I'm just wanting to know what kind and if i should be concerned.

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 Aw, they’re cute. Nice find. It’s hard to be sure with spiderlings but I think they’re baby Cork-lid Trapdoor Spiders (Ummidia sp.). I wouldn’t be concerned about them unless you start finding them inside the house. They’re not considered to be of medical significance, everyone’s immune system is different though.
