ItsyBitsy

Hi, this looks like a Wolf Spider (Lycosidae). I could be more specific with a clearer image.

ItsyBitsy

This isn’t a species that wants to be indoors. If you’re seeing a lot of them they’re likely wandering in somewhere by accident or there is something else present they’re preying on. You can reduce the number of spiders you find in your home by sealing cracks around floors, doors, windows, foundation ect., vacuum everywhere and empty the canister outside.

TangledWeb

From what I’ve heard from people who post spider photos, many insecticides don’t work on spiders (arachnids). I don’t know what biological difference makes the spiders more resistant to some chemicals.

I’ve got em here in CT too I think they can bite! One was so big in my garage cuz I didn’t want to kill it it finally got so big I thought it was a small mouse one daythen I trapped it and took it WAY into the woods!
