I'm wondering what kind of spider this is... no idea. It was very big... body easily the size of a grape.

It had a large dense web at the bottom of a tree. Found on Mount Work near Langford BC. Guessing it is a female, but not sure what species.
Giant House Spider, Eratigena cf. duellica.
