Comments & ID Thoughts

I believe this individual is a Harvestman and was found @10:30 in the morning in a rotten log while collecting scorpions. It has two protuberances on the dorsal abdomen. I have other pictures of it from different angles but am new to this site and don't know if multiple pictures of the same individual are permitted or how to tie them together. I have literally hundreds of pictures of dozens of different species of spiders from Ecuador that I need help identifying. My specialty is snakes, not arachnids :-)

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 I agree this is a Opiliones (Harvestman), and I don’t know how to ID them either. I look forward to seeing your spiders. Hopefully they’ll get some IDs, though it’s a challenging region. So many species that aren’t easy to track down online or impossible to confirm without dissection. So many interesting things to see though!
